About Energy Southeast

Energy Southeast is a cooperative district of the State of Alabama established by the Alabama Municipal Electric Authority (AMEA) to help governmentally owned utilities secure affordable, reliable energy for the communities they serve. By using tax-exempt municipal bonds to prepay for long-term supplies of electricity, Energy Southeast helps utilities lower costs, improve price stability, and create lasting value for their customers.
